Netflix has confirmed that Retro, the action drama starring Suriya and Pooja Hegde, will be available for streaming from May 31, 2025. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film will stream in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.The announcement was made via Netflix’s official social media, along with a poster featuring Suriya. The caption read: “A sacred spear. A secret identity. A saga for the ages. 🔥 Watch Retro, out 31 May, on Netflix in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.”

Retro had a theatrical release earlier this month and is making a quick jump to digital less than a month later. Despite high expectations and a strong cast, the film had a mixed run at the box office. It struggled in the some regional markets but still managed to pull in solid numbers overall, grossing ₹96.97 crore worldwide.The film features a packed ensemble including Joju George, Nassar, Jayaram, Karunakaran, and Prakash Raj, with a cameo by Shriya Saran. Produced by Stone Bench Films and 2D Entertainment, the film also features music by Santhosh Narayanan.The streaming release is being seen as a second chance for Retro to find its audience, especially among fans of Suriya and Subbaraj who may have skipped the theatrical release.
