Actor Shoaib Ibrahim recently shared an update on his wife and TV actress Dipika Kakar`s cancer treatment. He shared that the Sasural Simar Ka actress underwent a 14-hour-long surgery for her stage 2 liver cancer. The actor, who has been regularly sharing updates of her well-being with his fans, took to Instagram stories to share the latest update. He revealed that after the surgery, Dipika was still in the ICU and has been experiencing “some pain”. Dipika`s surgery reportedly took place on Tuesday at a Mumbai hospital.
Shoaib Ibrahim gives an update on Dipika Kakar`s surgery
Shoaib started his note by apologising to his fans for not being able to update them yesterday, that is on Tuesday night, about Dipika`s surgery.  He wrote, “Hi everyone, Sorry I couldn`t update you last night, it was a long surgery. She was in OT for 14 hrs. But Alhamdulillah, everything went well. Dipi is currently in the ICU.”

He further added that Dipika is stable now and urged their well-wishers to continue praying for her. “She`s in some pain, but she`s stable and doing okay. Thank you all dil se (from my heart) for your love, prayers, and support, it truly means a lot. I will update you all once she`s out of the ICU. Thank you once again. Keep praying for her,” he concluded.
Earlier on Tuesday, Shoaib had shared the news about her surgery saying, “Dippi`s surgery is scheduled to happen tomorrow morning. It`s going to be a long surgery… she needs all your prayers & strength the most … please keep her in your prayers.” In his earlier vlog, Shoaib had revealed that the surgery, which was scheduled for last week, was postponed since the doctors were waiting for Dipika to recover from her flu. He also shared that the actress was experiencing pain due to a stone in her gall bladder.
Dipika Kakar`s cancer diagnosis
Dipika had earlier shared the news of her stage 2 liver cancer diagnosis with her fans. Sharing the news, she wrote, “As you all are aware last few weeks have been quite difficult for us… walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach… and then finding out its a tennis ball size tumour in the liver and then Finding out that the tumour is Second stage Malignant (Cancerous) … it has been one of the most difficult time we have seen, experienced!” (sic)
