Dakota and Pedro are `homies`
While on a promotional spree, Dakota Johnson recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she offered intriguing insights into her bond with co-star Pedro Pascal. Johnson shared, “Pedro and I were homies, yeah, We actually do hang out all the time, when we`re in the same place.” Fallon then presented a photograph of the pair at a Stevie Nicks concert in London. “He`s wearing my — that`s my sweater,” Johnson pointed out. “He does that a lot. He takes my clothes. Yeah, he`s always underdressed — well, I mean like he`s wearing a t-shirt, and it`s cold outside. Not like he forgot his pants.”
Even Director Celine Song, in a special interview with Empire, spoke about the close bond Dakota, Chris, and Pedro shared during the film’s shoot. She mentioned,“They’re just so into each other.”. To evolve the interplay between the three of them, Materialists involved much rehearsal work. “We were trying to be specific about the chemistry between them as characters too,” she adds. “Because it has a different meaning and a different goal for each scene. The heart and the head, and then the math and the non-math,” as Song puts it. “Those crash into each other in this film.”
