C.P. Chacko (70), the father of Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko was killed in a road accident on Dharmapuri national highway near Palacode in Dharmapuri district on Friday (June 6, 2025). While the septuagenarian was killed on the spot, the 41-year-old actor, his brother Joe John Chacko (36) and their mother Maria Carmel (65) were injured along with the driver. All the four were admitted to Dharmapuri government medical college hospital for treatment. According to Palacode police, the accident occurred near Parayur and the car is said to have collided with a lorry that was ahead.The family was travelling to Bengaluru from Cochin. The car was driven by Anees (42) of Trissur. The actor, who had starred in the Tamil movie Good Bad Ugly, had recently admitted to use of drugs, while he was also accused of misbehaviour by a Malayalam actress.
