Malavika Mohanan and Karthi recently wrapped the shooting of their upcoming film Sardar 2 in Bangkok. The film helmed by PS Mithran is a much-awaited sequel to their 2022 spy action thriller, which had Karthi in dual roles as a father and son. The film was about how a cop, striving hard to rise above the reputation of being a national traitor’s son, discovers his father’s secrets and a bigger conspiracy at play. As the second installment wrapped up its schedule, the lead actor and actress took to their respective social media pages to share the update along with fun-filled pictures with the team.

Malavika Mohanan took to Instagram to share pictures from Sardar 2 sets sharing the update with her fans. She captioned the post, “And it`s a wrap for `Sardar 2`!💥❤️🙅‍♀️ I started this project with the most challenging schedule of the film & ended it with the most fun schedule in Bangkok 😊 What a mad ride this one`s been! @karthi_offl you`ve been an absolute gem to work with. Who knew we had so many interests in common 😊 @psmithran thank you for making me a part of this one. So unlike anything I`ve done before. Sardar 2 has got stars like Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath, Yogi Babu, and Rajisha Vijayan on board in pivotal roles. The first film had Rajisha along with Raashii Khanna, Chunky Pandey, Laila, Rithvik, Munishkanth, Avinash, Yugi Sethu and Balaji Sakthivel.
