BTS agency unveils plans for V, Jimin, Jungkook, RM’s military discharge day


The much-awaited BTS reunion is just around the corner. The BTS ARMY across the globe have grand plans for them. For the unversed, BTS band members Kim Taehyung, Kim Namjoon, Jeon Jungkook, and Park Jimin were serving in the military in Korea. However, they have completed their services and are expected to soon be discharged from their duties. The return of the four members to civilian life marks the much-awaited reunion of the boy band. Amid excitement and reports of grand event, their agency BIGHIT MUSIC has now dropped the much-awaited official update on their discharge in the coming week. 
BigHit`s official statement on BTS reunion
BigHit`s statement confirmed the discharge of RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook, but denied reports of special events being held to welcome them on the day of the discharge. The statement read, “Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are excited to bring you the news of RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook’s upcoming military discharge. RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook are close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged.”

It further noted, “Please note that the discharge day is reserved for military personnel only. No special events are planned on the day of RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook’s discharge. Each location has very limited space, and overcrowding can pose safety risks. We place the safety of our artists and fans as our top priority, and sincerely request our fans not to visit the sites in person. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts. We are always grateful for your unwavering love and support for RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. Our company will continue to put our utmost effort into supporting our artists. Thank you once again for your continued love and support for BTS.”
The other BTS members
While RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook gear up for their discharge now, their fellow bandmates Jin and J-Hope were discharged earlier towards the end of 2024. Since then, they have resumed their musical careers and have since released a slew of tracks. The Arson hitmaker released Dreams feat. Miguel and MONA LISA to his catalogue. Further, he also announced a tour titled Killin’ It Girl just a week earlier and is currently touring the world, playing in sold-out stadiums and landing a spot on Billboard’s cover.

On the other hand, Jin, post-military, has released one full-length solo album, titled Happy, and made his comeback with Echo in April and May 2025. Meanwhile, SUGA, who’s currently serving in the public sector instead of active duty owing to his shoulder injury, is set to wrap up service on June 21.
