The Kochi City police have registered a case against Malayalam filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan on charge of harassing a popular woman actor on social media.The Elamakkara police registered the case on Monday based on a petition lodged by the actor.
Mr. Sasidharan had released a movie featuring the actor and produced by her online for free. The film made in 2019 was featured in many film festivals in the country and abroad.
He had alleged in a social media post that someone was stopping him from making movies and had forced him to flee to the US where he claimed he was now.Mr. Sasidharan was arrested by the Kochi police on a charge of stalking the same actor in May 2022 before being granted bail.
