Entries are invited to The Hindu Margazhi Music Contest 2025 from classical musicians aged under 40 to celebrate the Margazhi season, a tribute to the vibrant traditions of India’s musical heritage.Video recordings by Carnatic and Hindustani practitioners can be sent under various categories: children (below 12 years), juniors (13-19 years), and seniors (20-40 years). The recording should be under five minutes.The entries must contain the name of the composition, the composer, and ragam and thalam for both Carnatic and Hindustani pieces. Only one five-minute entry will be permitted per participant.Entries can be uploaded at newsth.live/MMC2024PA or by scanning the QR code given below. Audio entries will not be accepted. The last date for submission is January 5, 2025. The winners will be chosen by a panel of eminent judges.The contest offers a unique platform for artists — from emerging talent to seasoned performers — to showcase their skills and connect with the timeless magic of Margazhi.
