Just when the BTS fans were gearing up and controlling their excitement for the much-awaited reunion, BTS star Kim Taehyung, better known as V, has sent the internet raving. The BTS member posted a gym selfie with Song Kang, leaving the internet ablaze. Notably, the selfie comes just a day before his discharge from the military.

For the unversed, after fulfilling his mandatory military duty, BTS V is all set for his official return. He will be discharged from military service on June 10. Days ahead of his return, he gave fans a sneak peek into his life in the military by sharing a mirror selfie from the gym with popular actor Song Kang on his Instagram stories.

The two were seen posing and flexing their muscles in gym clothes, seemingly after a joint session. The selfie has now quickly gone viral on the internet. If V and Song`s selfie wasn`t enough, the BTS member also shared a playful video of himself with Song Kang trying different poses in front of the camera. In addition to this, he also posted a photo wherein he is seen enjoying a meal with award-winning South Korean director Park Chan-Wook.
Notably, the filmmaker is best known for his acclaimed films like ‘Lady Vengeance’, ‘The Handmaiden’, and ‘Decision to Leave’. V`s appearance with Park has sparked curiosity among fans, who are wondering if V is planning to resume his acting career post-discharge. 
While V returns from his military service, Song Kang is still serving in the military and is scheduled to complete his duties by October 1.
BTS FESTA 2025
Earlier, their agency had released a statement confirming RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook’s discharge from the military, noting that no events have been planned on the day of the discharge. They also urged fans not to gather or visit the sites of their discharge.

Interestingly, their discharge coincides with their anniversary. BTS will be turning 12 on June 13. Like every year, they will have the BTS festa marking their anniversary. This year, the theme is ‘Twelve O’Clock,’ which is inspired by the group’s 2020 track ‘Zero O’Clock.` Fans are of the opinion that the theme is more than symbolic, suggesting the dawn of a new era for BTS.
