Vishal at the success meet of ‘Madha Gaja Raja’

Actor Vishal has announced that he is teaming up with ace director Gautham Menon and Demonte Colony-maker Ajay Gnanamuthu for two of his upcoming films.The actor said this while revealing his line-up at the success event of Madha Gaja Raja, his long-delayed entertainer that released on Pongal weekend to widely positive reviews.Adding that his much-awaited sequel film, Thupparivaalan 2, will be released after his film with Gautham, the Rathnam-star expressed his wish to once again collaborate with Sundar C and Vijay Antony, the director and composer behind Madha Gaja Raja.“I am waiting to work with Sundar C sir again. If he confirms, I am ready to postpone my other commitments and start working with him. The audiences who watched (Madha Gaja Raja) in theatres expressed their wish to see another film with Sundar C, Vijay Antony and myself,” said Vishal, adding that the reception to Madha Gaja Raja has prompted a re-release of Aambala, his 2015 film with Sundar.

Madha Gaja Raja is a comedy entertainer that was released on January 12, almost 13 years after it was originally made. Sundar’s follow-up to Kalakalappu, the film had remained in the can due to financial issues. The film starred Santhanam, Anjali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and the late Manobala in pivotal roles.Gautham, whose last release was Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, is currently helming Mammootty’s Malayalam film, Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse. His long-delayed film with Vikram,Dhruva Natchathiram, remains unreleased as of now.Ajay Gnanamuthu is best known for helming the two Demonte Colony films, Imaikkaa Nodigal, and Vikram’s Cobra.
